The Good News Initiative
Spectrum for Living is a New Jersey non-profit organization dedicated to enabling individuals with physical or developmental disabilities to live healthy, enjoyable, and independent lives. Founded in 1978 by a group of local parents, Spectrum is guided by the principle that people with developmental disabilities have the same right as anyone else to experience a fulfilling and meaningful life. At Spectrum, people with disabilities are given the freedom, responsibility, and opportunity to face and overcome life's challenges.

Spectrum offers support services such as Case Management, Alternate Family Assistance Program, and In-Home Training. Spectrum operates six Adult Training Centers, each providing a variety of programs to teach and improve skills. These centers provide a positive environment for participates to develop their skills and interests. Spectrum provides residential facilities as well as access to comprehensive medical and nursing services for the residents.

Spectrum for Living has played a major role advocating for the rights of people with disabilities to ensure for them accessibility, opportunity, independence, and dignity. Today, Spectrum's advocacy efforts are stronger than ever with a network of parents and clients to ensure that the rights of people with disabilities are not diminished.
